There is beauty in simple things.
And Steve Jobs figured it out way before Minimalism started becoming cool.
Minima-what?
Minimalism is simply about prioritizing;
Letting go of what you don’t need, to make space for what you really love.
Take Back Control!
Cutting back to the essential gives you focus and ownership: Focus on your purpose, ownership of your life.
That’s happiness 101…
Yet, this message has been undermined by social media. Those fuckers convinced you that it’s something material, that you either have, or have to buy!
And this distorted perception of happiness is a one-way ticket to Feeling-Like-Shit Land!
What you own, ends up owning you.
Redefining Success
If you think that minimalists are a bunch of sad, cheap motherfuckers, well… you’re half wrong. It’s no coincidence that some of the happiest people are those who don’t need much.
Nowadays, it’s easy to get caught up in the “life-goals” bullshit that social media feeds you: Perfect lives, expensive cars, watches, jewelry…
Success is about freedom; the freedom to choose, to take back control of your wishes, of both your physical and mental space. Of your aspirations.
It can as easy as spending more time with your family, making people feel valued, and being kind.
What about Business
Is Minimalism compatible with Business?
Fuck yes! Steve Jobs is the perfect example of that.
Just in case you were under that impression, Minimalism isn’t synonymous with “lack of ambition”.
Instead, it’s about freeing your mind from the unnecessary. Claiming some of that energy that’s been wasted and scattered in ways you don’t even control.
And using it instead as fuel to achieve your dreams, and to be happier and fulfilled in the process!
So how do I minimize my life? 🤔
Well, it really depends on you and the way your life is set up.
But here are some pointers:
📌Anything unused for 6 months is no go. It has to go.
📌Ask the hard questions. (If the answer is no, it has to go.)
Is it useful?
Does it bring me joy or love?
📌 Bullshit expenses are no go. They have to go.
Double-down on what you love, baby!!
